01Where this came from
It started witha tradesman, not an agency.
No origin myth, no venture capital. Just a working tradesman who saw what agencies charge, how long they take, and how little a small firm gets to see before it pays.
Stage 01
A tradesman, not an agency
Website in Days is run by a working tradesman who builds websites for other tradespeople and local businesses. That matters, because we have sat where you are sitting.
Stage 02
The agency problem
A quote full of words you do not recognise, prices that start somewhere and end somewhere else, and a website that turns up weeks late, if it turns up at all. Often after you have paid before seeing anything.
Stage 03
The free design rule
So we flipped the order: design first, money after. You see a homepage design for your business, free, and only then decide. The 50% deposit is due after you have approved that design, not before.
Now
A deliberately small shop
Still a sole trader in the UK, still one fixed price agreed in writing, still the same person from first message to launch. Built one job at a time, properly, rather than queued behind dozens of others.
